Cookie Policy

Last Updated: May 20, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Mira Science, LLC (“Mira Science, LLC,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit our website at mirascience.ai or any other site we operate (collectively, the “Site”), and when you access our software application (the “Software”). It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to control our use of them. This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information to the site owner. Cookies set by the website operator (in this case, Mira Science, LLC) are called “first-party cookies.” Cookies set by parties other than the website operator are called “third-party cookies.” Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality on or through the website (such as analytics, advertising, and interactive content). The parties that set these third-party cookies can recognize your device both when it visits the website in question and when it visits certain other websites.

Similar tracking technologies

In addition to cookies, we may use other similar technologies on the Site to collect information about your activity, browser, and device. These include:

  • Web beacons (also known as pixel tags or clear GIFs) – small graphic images embedded in web pages or emails that allow us to determine whether a page has been viewed or an email opened.
  • Local storage and session storage – browser-based storage that allows websites to store data locally on your device.
  • Software development kits (SDKs) – used in mobile applications to collect information about app usage, device characteristics, and crashes.
  • Server logs – records of requests made to our servers, which may include your IP address, browser type, and pages requested.

For simplicity, this Cookie Policy refers to all of these technologies collectively as “cookies.”

Why do we use cookies?

We use first-party and third-party cookies for several reasons. Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for the Site and Software to operate — we refer to these as “strictly necessary” cookies. Other cookies enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our Site, and others are used to serve relevant marketing content or measure campaign effectiveness. The specific types of cookies served through our Site and the purposes they perform are described in the table below.

Categories of cookies we use

The specific cookies served on the Site may change from time to time as we add or remove features and services, or as third-party providers update their products. A current list of the specific cookies in use is maintained in our cookie consent banner, which you can re-open at any time from the link in our website footer.

Third-party cookies and service providers

In addition to our own cookies, we may also use various third-party cookies to report usage statistics of the Site, deliver advertisements on and through the Site, and so on. These third parties may include analytics providers (such as Google Analytics), marketing platforms (such as LinkedIn, Meta, or HubSpot), customer support tools (such as Intercom or Zendesk), and content delivery networks. Each of these third parties has its own privacy and cookie practices, and we recommend reviewing their policies directly. We do not control the operation of third-party cookies, and links to current third-party policies are made available in our cookie consent banner.

How can you control cookies?

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies (other than strictly necessary cookies, which are required for the Site to function). You can exercise your cookie preferences in several ways:

  • Cookie consent banner. When you first visit the Site, we present a cookie consent banner that lets you accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or customize your preferences by category. You can re-open this banner at any time from the “Cookie Settings” link in our website footer to change your choices.
  • Browser controls. Most web browsers allow some control of most cookies through the browser settings. You can usually find these settings in the “options” or “preferences” menu of your browser. To find out more, visit your browser’s help section or aboutcookies.org. Please note that if you choose to block cookies through your browser, some features of the Site may not function correctly.
  • Opt-out tools. For analytics and advertising cookies, you may also be able to opt out directly with the third-party provider. For example, you can opt out of Google Analytics at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and you can manage advertising cookies from many providers through the Network Advertising Initiative (https://optout.networkadvertising.org) or the Digital Advertising Alliance (https://optout.aboutads.info).
  • Do Not Track. Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Because there is no industry-standard interpretation of DNT signals, our Site does not currently respond to DNT signals. However, you can use the controls described above to manage your preferences.

Cookies in our Software application

When you log in to and use the Mira Science Software, we use strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to authenticate your session, maintain your login state, and protect the security of your account. These are required for the Software to function and cannot be disabled if you wish to use the Software. We may also use limited analytics and crash-reporting technologies within the Software to identify bugs and improve performance. Lab Data processed within the Software is governed by our Privacy Policy and any applicable Beta Test Agreement, Subscription Agreement, or Data Processing Agreement — not by this Cookie Policy.

Legal basis for using cookies (EU/UK/EEA users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, our legal basis for setting cookies depends on the type of cookie:

Strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a functional and secure website. These cookies do not require your consent. Functional, analytics, and marketing cookies are only set with your prior consent, which you provide through the cookie consent banner. You may withdraw your consent at any time by re-opening the banner from the “Cookie Settings” link in our website footer.

How long do cookies stay on your device?

The length of time a cookie remains on your device depends on whether it is a “session” or “persistent” cookie. Session cookies last only until you close your browser. Persistent cookies last until they expire or are deleted. Maximum durations for each category are listed in the table above. You can manually delete persistent cookies at any time through your browser settings.

Updates to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make material changes, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Cookie Policy and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (such as through our cookie consent banner or by other reasonable means). Please revisit this Cookie Policy periodically to stay informed about our use of cookies.
